Il y a aussi beaucoup à faire autour de notre parc pour les amateurs de vélo. Une nature magnifique et des vues fascinantes sont un ingrédient parfait pour une merveilleuse balade à vélo. Il existe un certain nombre de superbes pistes cyclables en Hollande du Nord et nous aimerions en souligner quelques-unes pour vous.

La route des 'stalletjes'

La route des Stalletjes en Hollande du Nord vous fait traverser des endroits magnifiques tels que Sint Maarten, Dirkshorn et Tuitjenhorn. La piste cyclable fait environ 26 kilomètres de long et implique beaucoup de culture. Avec un vélo normal, vous pouvez parcourir le parcours en environ une heure et demie, tandis qu'avec un vélo électrique, cela prend environ 1 heure et 12 minutes. C'est un itinéraire très rural qui vous fera découvrir les spécialités locales des différents lieux. Dans et autour de Sint Maarten, par exemple, vous trouverez de superbes stands de vente de fleuristes, de fruiticulteurs et d'agriculteurs. De cette façon, vous pourrez profiter des produits fantastiques qu’ils proposent. En discutant avec l'entrepreneur, vous pouvez en apprendre beaucoup sur les produits que vous achetez. Par exemple, d'où viennent-ils et que doit faire l'entrepreneur pour que les produits entrent dans leur structure de vente. Il peut être très intéressant de se plonger dans les spécialités locales. Vous pouvez acquérir des connaissances en même temps tout en profitant de cette magnifique piste cyclable.

Les endroits que vous traverserez pendant le tour à vélo présentent également des paysages pittoresques. Vous traverserez de vastes polders avec des digues fascinantes. Vous pouvez également profiter d'une vue sur la zone de dunes qui se trouve le long de la côte de la mer du Nord. Après votre balade à vélo, vous aurez non seulement profité de vues magnifiques et d'une nature étonnante, mais vous pourrez également rentrer chez vous avec de délicieux produits venant directement de la terre. Dans l'ensemble, c'est une excellente piste cyclable que vous pouvez certainement essayer pendant votre séjour.

Van Blanckendaell Park

Just four kilometers from our park is the zoo called Van Blanckendaell Park. Here you will find a savanna, a playground, a museum and a mill. So the park really has everything to offer. The animals found in this park come from all over the world. Some South American animals that you can find in the Van Blanckendaell Park are the Alpaca, the Capibara and the Brown Crested Capuchin monkey. Some of the animals in this park that come from Africa are the Barbary ape, the Giraffe and the Grant Zebra. If you want to see European and Eurasian animals, this is also possible. You will find Fallow Deer, European Storks, Lapland Owls, Donkeys, Reindeer and Snowy Owls, among others. Asian animals that can be found in this park include the Asian Small-clawed Otter, the Blue Peacock and the Chinese Muntjak. There are also animals from Oceania, such as the Albino Bennettwallaby, the Kookaburra and the Lori of the Blue Mountains. Finally, they have North American animals there, including the American Bald Eagle, the Nose Bear and the Prairie Dog. So you can see that there are plenty of animals to be found in this park and this makes it extra fun to visit Van Blanckendaell Park.

As we mentioned earlier, there is also a playground where the children can expend their energy. You can also visit the museum, where you can find, among other things, old agricultural tools, a complete laundry corner and a furnished living room from the last century. Furthermore, there is another mill in the middle of the park. Even though it is not open to the public, the exterior of the mill can, of course, be simply admired.

Veterinary Garden Hoenderdaell

In Hoenderdaell Zoo, you can come face to face with animals from all over the world. In addition, you will have the opportunity to feed some of these animals. The zoo at Landgoed Hoenderdaell is an animal kingdom in itself. You will find several impressive animals and you can enjoy birds of prey shows. There is also a special sanctuary for lions and tigers.

When you visit Hoenderdaell Zoo, you can enjoy different animal species. To give you a clearer picture of the animals that can be found there, we will list them here for you. First of all, you will find alpacas and camels. You can also find pelicans, macaws, nose bears and wolves. There are also lesser-known animal species, such as the small-clawed otter and the orange-necked cassowary. Brown bears, kangaroos, wallabies, reindeer and lynx can also be admired. Finally, you can go see Persian panthers and hyenas.

In addition to all these impressive animals, there are also a number of other things you can visit in the park. These include a tropical greenhouse, monkey islands, an aviary, a pheasantry with cranes and storks, a lori garden, SOS Dolphin Foundation, Lion Foundation, an avitorium and the Gelderland cottage. So the park has a lot of different things to offer you and you will certainly not get bored here.

On the rest of the estate there are also a number of things to experience. Namely, outside the animal park you can find a nature reserve in which you can walk around quietly and encounter stray animals. Keep in mind that this is a silence area. That way it remains a nice place for the animals themselves to live. In addition to the animals, you can also view works of art and special architecture.

Artis

And then, of course, we have Artis. This is one of the most famous zoos in our country. Artis is located in Amsterdam and is therefore easily accessible from our recreation park. This zoo is home to as many as 750 different animal species, including sharks, gazelles, wildebeests, chimpanzees, elephants, giraffes and zebras. There are also 300 different species of trees. Therefore, it is truly a fantastic experience to walk through this zoo. Artis is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and this is reflected in the 19^th-century architecture that has been well preserved. What also makes Artis very special is that they have recreated the natural habitat of the animals as closely as possible. You can also experience this for yourself as a visitor. Different parts of the world are reflected in the park so that the animals feel as much at home as possible. All this is already very impressive of course, but in addition Artis also has the largest Planetarium in the Netherlands. We definitely recommend visiting this zoo when you stay in our park.
