The Long-Term Maintenance Plan
Long-Term Maintenance Plan (MJOP) – Recreatiepark De Wielen
To make the chalet park more attractive, safer, and future-proof, a Long-Term Maintenance Plan (MJOP) has been developed. While parts of the current infrastructure are still in good condition, there are also elements that require replacement. With this plan, we are investing in a modern, sustainable, and climate-resilient park, ready for the future.
Implementation Plan 2026
In the period from November 1, 2026 to March 1, 2027, the following works will be carried out:
- All water pipelines will be replaced and fitted with new meters.
- New electricity cables will be installed across almost the entire park, including modern distribution cabinets and new meters. All chalets will receive an upgraded connection of 25 amps.
- New distribution cabinets for water and electricity will be installed, each with 12 connections.
- For chalets 1a through 7a, the sewer system will be completely replaced, including the installation of inspection chambers and flushing facilities.
- Inspections have shown that replacement of the remaining sewer sections is not necessary.
- Where required, drainage systems will be installed along existing asphalt paths to improve water runoff towards the ditches.
- The gas pipelines and gas meters are in good condition and do not require replacement.
- The cable infrastructure and distribution cabinets for TV and internet have already been renewed in recent years and will remain unchanged.
Planning and Accessibility
Depending on weather conditions, the works may be subject to delays. Your chalet will remain accessible during this period, and rental activities can generally continue. However, when connecting the new infrastructure to your chalet, there may be a period of up to three days during which you cannot use your chalet.
Sustainable and Future-Oriented
The upgraded infrastructure provides opportunities for further sustainability improvements. This creates the possibility to install solar panels and store excess energy in a home battery system. Chalets with sufficient space and a suitable location may also be equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles.
Financing
The MJOP is carried out on behalf of the owner of the park’s common areas. The total investment is estimated between €200,000 and €300,000 and is fully borne by this owner.
Plot owners who purchased a plot in 2025 have already contributed €3,000 towards the financing. Future buyers of plots will also pay a contribution of €3,000 for the MJOP.
Next Steps and Further Development
The further elaboration of the plan is currently in progress. Various consultations are still taking place to carefully define all details. Once the plan is finalized, we will share it with you in detail.
With this investment, we ensure that Recreatiepark De Wielen remains not only a comfortable and sustainable environment today, but also a valuable and future-proof location in the years to come.
